  Beautiful place. Place that everyone must visit. Buy tickets ahead of time that you will choose the best time for departure and arrival from the island.

  If you are making the trip to Tobermory, then you should really consider taking this tour to the island. The family and I did the trip and we had a great time. The ride alone is part of the experience and the beauty of the place. Once you get to the island, be prepared to walk a lot. Have plenty of time, a backpack with lots of water and some filling snacks since there was no real restaurant there or any other type of food service. You will get hungry! With the snacks/food comes the cleanliness of the place so be prepared to carry your garbage until you get back to the mainland. At the end of the trail, you will have a chance to visit a small historical house and it has one bathroom. Then the next bathroom break is back at the island port so be ready to hold it! Unfortunately some people won't and you might find some unpleasant "surprises" along the trail. Be careful where you step!
